Lyapunov small-gain theorems for not necessarily ISS hybrid systems

چکیده
We prove a novel Lyapunov-based small-gain theorem for interconnections of n hybrid systems, which are not necessarily input-to-state stable. This result unifies and extends several small-gain theorems for hybrid and impulsive systems, proposed in the last few years. Also we show how the average dwell-time (ADT) clocks and reverse ADT clocks can be used to modify the Lyapunov functions for subsystems and to enlarge the applicability of derived small-gain theorems.

Relaxed ISS Small-Gain Theorems for Discrete-Time Systems
In this paper ISS small-gain theorems for discrete-time systems are stated, which do not require input-to-state stability (ISS) of each subsystem. This approach weakens conservatism in ISS small-gain theory, and for the class of exponentially ISS systems we are able to prove that the proposed relaxed small-gain theorems are non-conservative in a sense to be made precise. The proofs of the small...
متن کاملStability Analysis of Hybrid Systems Via Small-Gain Theorems
We present a general approach to analyzing stability of hybrid systems, based on input-to-state stability (ISS) and small-gain theorems. We demonstrate that the ISS small-gain analysis framework is very naturally applicable in the context of hybrid systems. Novel Lyapunovbased and LaSalle-based small-gain theorems for hybrid systems are presented. The reader does not need to be familiar with IS...
متن کاملA Lyapunov-based small-gain theorem for interconnected switched systems
Stability of an interconnected system consisting of two switched systems is investigated in the scenario where in both switched systems theremay exist some subsystems that are not input-to-state stable (nonISS). We show that, providing the switching signals neither switch too frequently nor activate non-ISS subsystems for too long, a small-gain theorem can be used to conclude global asymptotic ...
متن کاملState-Dependent Scaling Characterization for Interconnected Nonlinear Systems–Part II: Small Gain Theorems for iISS and ISS Properties¶§
This paper is devoted to the problem of stability analysis for interconnected integral input-to-state stable(iISS) systems and input-to-state stable(ISS) systems. In the first part of this two-part paper, the state-dependent scaling problem has been proposed as a general mathematical formulation whose solutions explicitly provide Lyapunov functions proving stability properties of feedback and c...
متن کاملNonlinear Control with Limited Information
This paper discusses several recent results by the author and collaborators, which are united by the common goal of making nonlinear control theory more robust to imperfect information. These results are also united by common technical tools, centering around input-to-state stability (ISS), small-gain theorems, Lyapunov functions, and hybrid systems. The goal of this paper is to present an over...
